Our Story

Teaminvest was formed in 2007 by Mark Moreland, Howard Coleman and Dr John Price. Each was a successful business owner in his own right and also a self-directed investor dismayed by both the poor advice and performance offered by most in the investment industry.

Their idea was simple: they would build a community of people just like themselves, who would consider investments from the perspective of an owner, rather than an analyst.

The objective: to significantly outperform the ASX200 stock market accumulation index by investing in businesses with very low risk, thus avoiding losses and the erosion of precious capital.

Our Approach

We start with our proprietary software, Conscious Investor®, which filters the ASX to identify the best performing companies based on financial metrics championed by Warren Buffett. This software scans over 2,000 businesses listed on the ASX, leaving us with just a handful of stocks that possess the hallmarks of profitable Wealth Winners®.

From this short list, we workshop each prospective stock, analysing the company’s business model and how it makes its money. Factors considered include executive remuneration, whether there is sufficient ‘skin in the game’ and the likelihood of future growth.

If the company passes this rigorous analysis, we then invite senior management to participate in a Q&A session with members. Only then, do we consider our required rate of return and the share price needed to achieve it.

Our Results

Since January 2000, Teaminvest’s Conscious Investor® software - using default settings - has achieved an average annual total shareholder return of 18.0%. This means $1,000,000 invested in January 2000 would now be worth $32,016,530* assuming dividends were reinvested. If you had invested the same amount into the All-Ords Accumulation Index, you would now have $5,841,245*
